# Seed Inventory Guide

Get your first 50 cards in inventory in under 15 minutes.

## Option 1: Paste List — Bulk Import from a Text List

Best for: Importing TCGPlayer orders, portfolio exports, or handwritten notes.

**Go to:** [sidequest-iecv.polsia.app/app](https://sidequest-iecv.polsia.app/app) → **Bulk Import** tab → **Paste List** tab

### Supported Formats

Scryfall auto-matches as you paste. Review the table, adjust conditions and buy prices, then **Commit Import**.

### TCGPlayer Portfolio Export

1. Go to [tcgplayer.com](https://www.tcgplayer.com) → sign in → **Portfolio**
2. Click the **Export** button (looks like a spreadsheet icon)
3. Choose **Copy to Clipboard** or download CSV
4. Paste the card names into the Paste List tab
5. Scryfall handles the rest

> TCGPlayer exports include set names — Scryfall matches on card name only, which works fine for most singles.

### TCGPlayer Order Export (for recent purchases)

1. Go to **Account** → **Order History** → click an order
2. Export the order list (some orders have a CSV download link)
3. Paste into Paste List — quantity prefixes like `4x` work automatically

## Option 2: Quick Add — Trade Night Mode

Best for: Processing a pile of cards at the store in real time. ~10 seconds per card.

### Workflow

1. **Tap** the card name field → starts Scryfall autocomplete
2. **Select** a card from the dropdown → image + market price appear
3. **Pick condition** from the grid (NM, LP, MP, HP, Damaged)
4. **Set buy price** — pre-filled with 70% of market price, editable
5. **Tap "Add & Next"** → green flash → form clears → ready for next card

The session counter at the top tracks how many you've added. **Undo** button removes the last entry if you make a mistake.

### Tips for Trade Night

- Keep your phone screen on — Quick Add is designed for it
- If Scryfall doesn't find a match, check the card name spelling or try the set name
- Start with the cards you know best (higher-value singles first)
- NM is the default condition — tap to change if needed

## Condition Shortcuts

Use these in the Paste List tab:

| `HP` | Heavily Played |
| `D` / `Damaged` | Damaged |
| `M` | Mint |

TCGPlayer's native condition names work too: `Near Mint`, `Lightly Played`, etc.

Category is assigned automatically when you import MTG cards (from Scryfall data) or retro games (detected from keywords). You can change it in the review step before committing.

## FAQ

**What if Scryfall doesn't find my card?**
Try: removing set in brackets, removing set symbols like `4ED`, or searching with the exact set name. Rare promos may need manual entry.

**Can I import a CSV?**
Yes — use the **Upload CSV** tab in Bulk Import. TCGPlayer and CardMarket exports work directly.

**How do I add images?**
For MTG cards, Scryfall auto-provides the card image. For retro games and collectibles, you can upload a photo when editing the item.

**My list has 200+ cards — will it time out?**
Paste List processes in batches of 50. Large imports take 1-2 minutes — just wait for the review table to appear.
