A day built around the things that make game stores worth visiting: prerelease tournaments, retro demos, card buyback, and a whole lot of giveaways.
The prerelease tournament is the anchor, but we loaded the day with enough variety that there's something for every type of gamer walking through the door.
First sealed deck event for Aetherdrift — fresh packs, new format, competitive stakes. Show up early, build your list, play all day. Prerelease is the best format in Magic because everyone starts equal.
TournamentFully loaded cabinets and consoles spanning four decades. Drop in, pick a controller, play something you haven't touched in fifteen years. No quarters, no agenda — just games.
Free PlayBring your trade fodder. We will be buying singles on the spot with cash in hand — no waiting, no consignment, no games. Clean out that binder and leave with money.
BuybackFree-to-enter raffles running throughout the day. Prizes include store credit, sealed product, retro cartridges, and one big-ticket item we'll announce the week of the event.
GiveawaysFirst hour is open browsing and setup. Retro cabinets running, open play, store walkthrough. Bring your trade binder early for first pick at the buyback station.
Sealed deck tournament. Four rounds, prize support based on turnout. All skill levels welcome — we run side events if the main bracket fills up.
Free prize drawings every 60 minutes from doors open through closing. Must be present to win — we will be calling names. No purchase required.
Informal tournament in the back half of the day. Mario Kart, Smash, Goldeneye — bracket format, small prize pool, high trash talk tolerance. Drop in anytime.
RSVP to get event day updates, prerelease details, and first notice when we set the date. No spam. One email when it matters.
Local game store, local community. We share the same philosophy about what a game store should be. Big ups to the Rhino crew.
Game StoreRight around the corner from where we're setting up shop. Good food, good tap list, good people. If you're hungry during the event, head over.
Local BusinessThe Ypsi gaming community that showed up, supported, and gave us a reason to open here. This event wouldn't exist without the people who already built the scene.
Community GroupWe're setting up in downtown Ypsilanti. Exact address will be shared once we confirm the space. Until then, add your email above and we will send it to you directly.
